I own a holiday home in East Devon and needed a fire risk assessment carried out on the property.  I was able to find David through online recommendations, and upon contact I knew I had found the right person.

David answered all of my questions and concerns immediately and was always available.  Being over-seas, this gave me peace of mind.  He was very thorough on inspection and found issues I had no idea the property had.  I was able to update my home with modern safety equipment.  From updated fire extinguishers, to mains powered fire detectors in all living spaces, and Carbon Monoxide detectors in rooms with gas appliances. 

I will sleep easier knowing my house is completely updated and secured.  Knowing there were issues and if there was a fire.  I know we would have lost everything.  I'm sure the insurance company would not pay out due to the violations.

I just used David Gray, from Fire Risk Assessment Devon for a routine annual fire assessment for our 4 bedroom holiday cottage in Devon.  I was extremely pleased with the service, from my first contact with David, he worked with me to book in a visit at a convenient time for us on a changeover day (which caused minimum disruption to my business). David was happy to visit the property unattended, as we live over 200 miles away.  He emailed before the visit asking a series of very important questions about the cottage, and this information gathering reflected in his report, as he was able to understand the history of our 17th century, thatched cottage and all the work we had already undertaken to make it fire safe.  I was so impressed with the quick service, he sent through the report within 24 hours.  The report and recommendations, were very clear and David supported this further by sending us through details about optional products we could use to improve on our fire safety.  This is so important and will help with maintaining the fire safety standards of our cottage. 

Following the report I had a few queries  which David was happy to discuss on a call.  He was also very reassuring and said for me to contact him should I need any more information.  

Overall it was a fantastic service and I will certainly be using David again for any future assessments required and would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional, thorough and detailed fire assessment and supportive service.

Having been a first timer and knowing very little about Fire Risk Assessments, my first port of call was Google.  Spoke to a few of the larger companies, who gave me very little information and at the end of the day, were very expensive.
